- ( 500 grams) Lean beef mince
- ( 1 medium) Brown onion, raw and peeled
- ( 2 cloves) Raw garlic, peeled
- ( 1/4 bunch) Fresh mint
- ( 1/4 bunch) Fresh parsley

- ( 1 1/2 cup) Cos lettuce
- ( 2 medium) Tomato
- ( 1 medium) Peeled cucumber
- ( 1/3 cup) Lemon juice
- ( 1/2 tsp) Cooking salt

Ingredients
- ( 500 grams) Lean beef mince
- ( 1 medium) Brown onion, raw and peeled
- ( 2 cloves) Raw garlic, peeled
- ( 1/4 bunch) Fresh mint
- ( 1/4 bunch) Fresh parsley
- ( 4 tbsp) Olive oil
- ( 1 1/2 cup) Cos lettuce
- ( 2 medium) Tomato
- ( 1 medium) Peeled cucumber
- ( 1/3 cup) Lemon juice
- ( 1/2 tsp) Cooking salt
- ( 1/2 tsp) Ground black pepper
Method
- Crush the garlic and chop the mint into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, mix the mince, garlic, mint, and parsley. Stir to combine. Season with salt — this will help to bind the meatballs.
- Roll the mince into 3cm balls.
- In a pan, add the oil. Fry the mince balls until cooked through, being sure to brown all sides. This will take about 10 minutes.
- For the salad, cut the tomatoes and cucumber into large cubes, and chop the lettuce. Dress with lemon juice and serve with the meatballs.
